smile!!!!

hello!!! my challenge for you guys today or any day that you've read this post is to make someone happy. and you can do that from being nice by saying hi to someone  or helping someone out with something like holding the door for them or if somebody drops something obviously help them pick it up. because helping people and making them happy to me puts a smile on peoples face. i love to make a difference by having this organization. and i want to say thank you to my friends who support me and what I'm doing the most. so im not saying to go off and run your own business or organization but what i am trying to say is that every one can make a difference in the world starting with a smile.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hi
Happy new year!

so far with all the money we raised through creams & rings we have sold we raised over $200 for our friends in Uganda.  This Christmas the creams were a hit. With the cream money we were able to buy 4 goats  for our friends.
Thanks Kayenne for helping us
Also we took a vacation to Cuba and we brought some of the rings with us  and we sold all of them.

i am so happy

its christmas time

Ali and i had a fund raiser by selling hot chocolate and cupcakes. we made $160 and were able to by two bio sand water filters. my mom went to Kampala Uganda around October and got to meet the kids. Also with the pen pal program, make sure that you give in your letter if you want one and if you already have, then we're still waiting for your pen pals to write back.

So we made a batch of our creams for Christmas sales we already got some orders in. we also are now selling fresheners for also $10. so if your going to buy some creams or fresheners then make sure you do it soon before we run out.

Oh and if you guys are into mysteries then be sure to check out "Ruby Sky PI" its a really good show that i really love. there are two seasons of them and one of them is called the haunted library and it is so scary but really well written and even if you don't like mysteries then you should still watch it because it is sooo good.

Also, I'm writing a book called "friends forever" and its about disasters and drama queens and how Sarah and Bridget, best friends of all times, have to face going through grade 5 and realizing how hard it can be...

thanks for reading

Ali and I

Well, I haven't said anything for a long time but anyways I'll get started.  I know that this is a bit late, because I should have written a post about this like 5 months ago but whatever.

Ali and I raised $150 at the Muhtadi International Drumming Festival. Thanks Kayenne for your help! Thanks Muhtadi for your generous support!  We went to the dollar store and bought a whole bunch of stuff. The $50 that is left will be spent on 25 school bags in Uganda or used towards a water filtration system.  My cousin Mark helped to build 3 of them when he was teaching in Africa this summer.  Also Kate and her friends raised $50 by selling homemade lemonade.

Oh ya and I forgot to mention that Emma and I also raised $70 at another fundraiser for a different cause. PTMOF.
Solome supports the Nggaali Project so we wanted to support her buy selling our rings.

Hi

My friend Ali and I will be at the Muhtadi International Drumming Festival on Saturday!  It is a 2 day festival at Woodbine Park.
We're raising money for our pen pals in Uganda there because our principal, Miss  Alexander,  at Withrow  told us that we couldn't hold a bakesale at our school because the school wasn't behind it.  Me and my friends  Emma and Olivia   all made posters and made presentations to our teacher, Madam Kertez.   Kate got lots of signatures and so did Emma, Ali and me but it didn't help.

Here's what's happening Nggaali News June 2012

Thanks Muhtadi for  supporting the Nggaali Project!

Nice Things People Say

Your cream has a unique blend of essential oils that is so good for the skin, and so perfectly natural, as I don't use any chemicals  - how can I buy some?
I have been using your cream as a lip conditioner, it is heavenly.

KC, Toronto

Dear Lemon Jar,
Just got back from skiing at Mt. Tremblant Quebec.  I  used your cream over my entire face before venturing out on the slopes in  -24 degree weather.  It was a fabulous protective balm against the elements that make Tremblant famous.  Initially there is a coconut oil "glow" as the potion melts on your skin but within 6-7 min there is no sheen.  Embarrassed to admit even at 42 I still have "breakouts" so I was a bit nervous about using an oil based cream on my skin.  My skin remains nourished and clear.   My eyes always seem to sting using any eye cream.  For Christmas I asked for the very expensive Kiel's eye cream.  Nice cream-VERY "stingy"  I was able to use my Lemon Jar cream even around my eyes and experienced no stinging. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your products!!!!!  I used your cream on my 4 year old and my 11 year old as well before they went out as well. ( Little boys are not keen on scarves so whatever I could use to protect his face)  I really think that Lemon Jar products belong on the ski slopes.............in the lovely little "Boutique" shops at Tremblant..................
Thank-you so much!
I would like to order 3 jars.......it's going to be a long winter!!!!

AT,   toronto

The second batch of cream you gave me are again sold out, except the two I kept for ourselves.

If you have time to prepare some more, I can continue to help sell them to my family and friends during the holidays. Maybe another 10 or 20 jars?

Ac, Toronto

My friends, Aries and Al Noor, bought me a jar of your wonderful Coconut Lime Cream which I looooved!  I just ran out and would like to buy another one before I leave on my trip, this Friday.  Is it possible for me to swing by today or tomorrow and buy one?  Where can I get one?

Thank you and congratulations on your wonderful product and project!!!
LL, Toronto

Please tell your sweet kids that I love their cream. I have very sensitive skin and used it to calm a wee rash on my throat - felt like the best thing I could have put on.. : )

COCONUT LIME CREAMS

The LEMON JAR.blogspot.com
Love Potions handmade by Kaia and Wyatt

Homemade skincare products do not last as long as store bought products.

What The LEMON JAR does to help keep your Coconut Lime Cream fresh

1.     Our ingredients are antibacterial. We use Essential oils of Lavender Lemon, Lime, Calendula infused in olive oil and Raw Organic Coconut Oil.
2.     We use glass jars because plastic is porous and breaks down.
3.     We make small fresh batches that you should enjoy within a year.

How you can help keep your LEMON JAR products fresh

1.     Dip into the jars with Dry Clean Fingers.  Keep away from water.
2.     Store in dark cool places or in your fridge to avoid light and heat oxidation.
3.     Your Coconut Lime Cream will melt in warmer temperatures.  If this happens –just shake the jar to mix oils and store in your fridge.

How to use your Coconut Lime Cream

Coconut oil contains antioxidants that stop free radicals from aging the skin.   Easily absorbed  -it softens, nourishes and protects by forming a barrier on your skin to avoid moisture loss.   Use on skin and hair after a bath to moisturize and to replenish lost oils.
Use on cuts, scrapes and bruises.
Use as a diaper cream and to massage your little ones after a bath.
Citrus oils are used in aromatherapy and have many healing properties but are photosensitive –avoid immediate exposure to sun when applied to exposed skin.

Lavender -calming, antiseptic, antifungal, helps to heal wounds, calms inflammation.
Lemon –energizing, refreshing, enhances concentration, antiseptic, astringent, antibacterial.
Lime –revitalizing, antiseptic, astringent, antibacterial
Calendula infused in olive oil –helps to heal wounds, dry skin, rashes and burns, calms inflammation, antiseptic and regenerating.
For more information about Coconut oil for your skin and hair check out

$10 for a 60ml jar
10% of each sale goes to support our friends here in Canada and in Uganda  www.kidscanada.wordpress.com
THANK YOU!!  This holiday season we were able to buy two goats with your support!
Big warm thanks to Andrea, Pabou, Aries, Maggie and Kayenne for helping us to promote our creams!  Enjoy!

Nggaali Pen Pal Program

Hi this is kaia

Wyatt  and I raised $55 for the Nggaali kids at the Ijo Vudu concert.  The show was spectacularly awesome!
 www.ijovududance.com.
Sani generously donated a table to Cynthia and us.

The last time we made $50 so in total we made $105.   We passed our goal by $5. We hope to make some more money for them!  Happy birthday Cynthia!

Wyatt and I are participating in a pen pal program with our new friends in Uganda.
Mugambe, the founder of Advocacy Through Filming and Screening Uganda (AFSU) came up with this great idea. www.advocacyuganda.com

We are asking our friends if they  would also like to participate.
So far I have two of my friends,  Emma and Josie, who are starting to write their letters.

My friend EMMA and I are hoping to raise some more money for them.  It was hard to think about what we were going to sell because  there are so many things you
can do and Emma is good at lots of things.

We are going to try to sell some bracelets that  Emma
will make and I will make some of my  flower
rings.  We will both try to make some earrings
that I hope will work out.

I don't know for sure where it's going to be but
once I find out I'll put it up for every one to see.

 thanks for stopping by!

love kaia!

The First Nggaali Gala

Hi this is Kaia

Last Friday night we supported the Nggaali kids. We  raised $50  to help them compete in music and dance in Uganda.

She organized the fund raiser and wrote a beautiful song for the Nggaali kids to sing and dance to for the competition.

This is I Ping and she does excellent Thai Yoga Bodywork.  Thank you I ping for helping us sell the rings!    ipingwong@hotmail.com

That's Michael taking the picture.  He writes beautiful music and takes beautiful pictures.  The Temple of Sound

Thanks For Stopping By!

 Hi my name is Kaia

My little  brother and I always wanted to have a company of our own.  My mom told us that we should think of something we both love to make and that others would love, too.

Wyatt LOVES to make potions so we started to make our own spritzers, creams, fresheners (deodorants) and toothpaste.  This summer we made our own bug repellent but think we still need to perfect it.

Everyone LOVES Wyatt's Coconut Lime Cream so we will be making this for now to sell.  We use raw organic coconut oil and add essential oils.  We use it after our bath and for cuts and scabs.
I love to make pretty petaled things so our company sells petaled rings & things and potions.

Our rings are $2 each.   Our Coconut Lime creams are $10 for a 60ml glass jar.

Thanks for stopping by.  We hope you will love our products!
